Jai Ho is a Hindi action comedy film released on 20 December 2014. The film stars Salman Khan and Daisy Shah in lead roles. It was director-produced by Sohail Khan and written by Kausar Munir. Jai Ho is the second collaboration between the lead actor Salman Khan and director Sohail Khan after their 2013 release Dabangg 2. The film was released with a similar title, Jai Ho, in Telugu as well to cash in on its success. Police officer Ajay Mehra (Salman Khan) is a soft-spoken and compassionate, but a tough cop who doesn't take bribe and completes his mission at all costs. He loses his father when he is young and was raised by his mother (Zarina Wahab). His childhood friend, a dog named "Sheru," becomes a part in his life. Ajay gets married to Sapna (Sonakshi Sinha), but because of some misunderstanding Sapna leaves him for Dubai with their son whom he never meets. Ajay's sister (Mahi Gill) always supports him and stands by him in every situation. Ajay lives with his brother-in-law and his family. He earns a lot of respect and is appreciated by the people of his locality, but he doesn't want to get promoted and wants to remain a constable, because there is less work and no extra responsibility. His younger sister Sarika (Daisy Shah) has been pending for marriage for years, but Sarika doesn't have any qualities or dowry, so she remains unmarried. His brother-in-law appreciates Ajay's honesty in his work place. One day, a goon named Tony Singh (Yashpal Sharma) kidnaps Sarika for money and takes her to his house. Ajay saves her and arrests the goon and his son. The people of his locality expect him to leave the police force and become a politician. Police Commissioner Rakesh Gogani (Om Puri) feels that Ajay has got everything except ambition, so he transfers him to Mumbai as Inspector General of Police there. In Mumbai, Ajay encounters Mr. Khan (Sanjay Dutt), a gangster who always saw him as his enemy. One day, Mr. Khan's daughter Jolly (Daisy Shah) elopes with Deepak (Abhishek Bachchan), who is the son of Mr. Khan's enemy. Mr. Khan kidnaps Deepak and asks him to come into his house for saving his life or else he will kill him, but Ajay saves him by sending an unknown spy named 'Harjeeta' to join Mr. Khan's gang. Harjeeta joins Mr. Khan's gang and becomes his right-hand man, while another one of their spies earns Mr. Khan's trust, but everyone knows that Harjeeta was sent by Ajay Mehra to save Deepak and kill Mr. cfa1e77820
